TRAVEL POST: I haven’t done one of these in a while! I figured it was about time.
The three musketeers took Brighton twice in the past few weeks. The first time Viki, Rosalind, and I got to accompany the Krycler’s to Brighton for the day on May 8th. It was pretty incredible as it was the warmest it’d been in England while I’ve been there (in the high 60s Fahrenheit). Continue reading
This weekend I went to London with these wonderful girls, Ros and Viki, and some friends of ours from church. Having previously visited most of the touristy places I had wanted to go on our last London trip in June of 2015, we focused on spending more time in certain places instead of traveling to as many as possible. I only had one location request. The one place I hadn’t visited last summer when we went was Blackfriar’s Bridge and all I needed was one picture. (After reading The Infernal Devices it was a major bucket list destination. I didn’t need to stay super long but I had to go see Jem’s favorite place in London and get a picture.) So naturally we ran across four lanes of traffic to get it, and then ran right back to jump in the car again. Continue reading
Traveling can be an absolutely amazing experience or a terrible one, and a lot of that depends on the unspoken code of etiquette travelers do or don’t follow. Everyone is all too aware that some are seemingly oblivious to these courtesies. Not to be a downer here, but just thought I’d pose this as a challenge to many a traveler out there to avoid these traveling don’ts. Continue reading
